Kivo Support

Get help with setup, wallet recovery, messaging, calls, privacy, and account deletion.

Never share wallet secrets. Kivo support will never ask for your password, private key, recovery phrase, or a remote-control session. Do not place those secrets in email, screenshots, logs, or GitHub issues.

Create an account

On first launch, enter a local password to create a new wallet and messaging account. Backing up the recovery phrase is strongly recommended even when the app lets you skip that step.

Import or recover

Use a supported recovery phrase or EVM private key. The imported material must derive the expected wallet address. Recovery cannot be completed by Kivo support without your own recovery material.

Find someone

Search using a complete Kivo username, including its numeric discriminator, or the complete 42-character 0x EVM wallet address.

Delete an account

Open Settings → Account → Delete Account. Enter the local wallet password and choose separately whether to delete the encrypted local wallet.

Troubleshooting

Messages or searches show a network error

  1. Confirm Wi-Fi or mobile data works in another app.
  2. Disable a VPN or filtering profile temporarily.
  3. Force-quit Kivo, reopen it, and retry once.
  4. Record the exact time, screen, username/address with most characters redacted, iOS version, Kivo version/build, and whether the problem repeats.

Incoming call fails in the background

  1. Allow Notifications and Microphone access for Kivo.
  2. Confirm Focus mode is not silencing the call.
  3. Update to the newest TestFlight/App Store build.
  4. Tell support whether Kivo was foregrounded, backgrounded, locked, or force-quit, plus the exact time and call type.

Forgotten local wallet password

Kivo cannot reset or reveal it. Use your recovery phrase or private key through the in-app recovery path. Replacing a wallet can affect access to the existing Kivo identity; read every destructive warning.

Lost recovery phrase/private key

If the local encrypted wallet still unlocks, back up the recovery phrase immediately using the in-app wallet settings. If neither the wallet password nor recovery material is available, Kivo support cannot reconstruct the wallet.

For account-specific, privacy, security, or abuse matters, email support@it389.com. Include only the minimum information needed. For reproducible open-source client bugs that contain no private information, use GitHub Issues.

Do not use a public GitHub issue for wallet addresses you want kept private, message content, personal information, security vulnerabilities, or abuse reports.
